Other Ikea purchases included this duvet cover and pillowcase for Oskar.

He loves looking at the different animals on it.

We have been spending lots of time on our weekends trekking to Ikea lately. On our first visit Oskar wouldn't go past the entrance as he desperately wanted to enter Smaland. The 30 minute wait was worth it as he had fun jumping in a ball pit and playing puppet shows while we had an hour to wander the store.

It took us a few visits to collect everything, as there was always something not in stock. But, Oskar loved it as when we wasn't in Smaland he was riding on the trolley.

We picked up this new chair for our desk...

...and some very bright yellow furniture for our bedroom, along with a new chest of drawers and the painting.

We always stopped to eat in the restaurant part was through to, where Jeremy drank gallons of lindenberry soda, Oskar ate wobbly jelly and we all tasted the small desserts.

At Oskar's daycare they fill out a page each day about some of the things they did. There is also the planner and menus on the wall, but this is for more impromptu activities. This is about today.

Our fruit and vegetable delivery has had lots on miniatures lately. Cherry or grape tomatoes are common, like two seen here. But, we have also had miniature cucumbers, capsicum and, this week, miniature eggplants.

I made some stencils out of cardboard for Oskar to paint with. Some of them are shown here, they were of leaves and acorns.

Patiently pausing for a photo...

When he had finished, and the paint had dried, I cut them out and drew a tree. Oskar then stuck on the leave and acorns with glue.

I thought it was funny he put all the acorns at the bottom of the tree, as he has only ever found them on the ground and not seen them growing.

During the June long weekend we spent a day in the Blue Mountains. We went on two walks, the first started at Lapstons, near the base of the mountains and followed the path of an old train track. We never saw another person along the way.

The old platform still existed and the trail often cut through the rocks.
Next we took a walk near Wentworth falls after our picnic. Oskar fixed the steps along the way.

Oskar walked all the way himself, carrying some sticks, which were his set of tools. He only got a bit of help flying over the muddy bits.

I have uploaded more photos, although there are none of me, I only seem to take them.

My old laptop now has a proud new owner. Don't you love the small sized mouse?

Oskar can happily open Stickies for when he needs to do some typing and Firefox for web surfing. It has been really useful for helping him recognise letters as he needs to recognise the words in his bookmarks toolbar I added of his favourite sites: Thomas, Play School and the Woodchop (loved since the Easter show). He has also learnt to use search and has a list of words he wanted me to write down for him to copy and type in, with WIGGLES being the most common input!
